This Don Post Studios Glenn Strange Frankenstein mask was sculpted by Pat Newman back in the 1960s and found fame as one of the original “Calendar Masks”. This mask is to old school monster kids what the 75 Kirk is to the Myers crowd, a holy grail for many collectors....

This particular copy came about through Darren Perks, the Don Post employee responsible for sculpting all the Calendar Reissues back in 1997. He ended up with a number of DP main tooling copies in his possession that were used for reference for the re sculpting project...one of which was this Glenn Strange Frank. He was good enough to make a few copies, one of which made its way to another former DP employee, Sam McCain, who finished this copy for our very own Lee Lambert. Given the rarity of this mask, Lee was tempted to have it refinished in the original green color scheme however he made the decision to go with a custom grey paint scheme. The hair is human hair leftover from the Alvarez Howling project that Sam had recently completed for Lee.
