Erich Lubatti of Labatti Designs is known for his outstanding FX work. From props and figures to tons of top quality masks Erich always delivers the goods and his latest project is no different. Based off a character from the 1988 horror filck "Dead Heat" Erich knocks this piece out of the park with an amazing design. Who doesn't like big mutant zombie bikers?....

This was sent to us from Erich himself describing his work on this amazing mask. You can order this mask by following this link. Also be sure to check out all of Erich's other work, he has something from everyone on his site.

Erich Labatti - "Steve Johnson is among the lists of artists that have influenced me and the work I do. I was so incredibly impressed with his design for this character back in 1988, when the film "Dead Heat" was released, that creating a tribute bust of this big zombie biker has been rolling around in my mind ever since.

I finally felt comfortable enough in my abilities to give it a shot this year. I've received a lot of positive feedback on this piece. And, it's only been available a few days. But, the highest point, so far, has been the kudos I've received from Steve Johnson himself, via FaceBook! He actually complimented me on a job well done...without any prompting from me! :) That meant a lot to me. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate everyone's interest and enthusiasm over this piece very much; it's just extra special when the designer of the original character (and one whose work you admire so highly) gives you the "thumbs-up" on a particular piece."

Below are pics of the actual sculpt and the finished product.
