Halloween 3D has a Writer/Director?
Right when I think I can take a breather from all the Halloween news Latino Review.com reports they've got the goods on who will helm next summer's Halloween 3D. Unfortunately it's not rumored Halloween: H20 director Steve Minor but instead someone with 3D experience . . .
Follow up:
According to Latino Review.com the Weinstein's have announced a new writer/director for Halloween 3D. Looks like Patrick Lussier is the man to take on Myers first 3D outing, due to hit screens next summer.
Lussier recently brought us My Bloody Valentine 3D, so you this could be a good thing or bad thing depending on how you look at it? 3D is the hot ticket right now so it only makes sense to grab a writer/director who's already had a successful experience.
My Bloody Valentine 3D was great fun but is that what fans are looking for in a Halloween film? Especially since Halloween 3D will be following Zombie's storyline. We'll go from dark and psychological to 3D based kills with little plot (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).
What do you guys think?

To be completly honest... Ressurection wasn't at all that bad... So it had that gay ass scene with Busta Rymes and Michael kong fuing it out... Big deal... At least there wasn't a White horse, Sheri Moon Zombie and a whole bunch of other bs... And all though the story line is new school at least it wasnt completely gay like Zombie's take on the franchise... To be truthfull, I HATED MBV 3D... Mind you the FX were Fantastic, but the movie itself sucked. I don't hold my breath for remakes anymore... They could pay me a fraction of what they are paying Zombie or anyother director to direct the HalloweeN franchise and I could make it 10 X better and with half the budget...
This is just my opinion as I am sure everyone has there own likes and dislikes...

well.. the bloody valentine re was.. just a laugh riot to me.. not too,whatever.. and I liked ressurrection as well, beside all the cheesy crap..it was a good idea. well just have to wait and see how this rolls..ahahaha.

i think its cool, but i dont agree with continuing rob zombies story line , zombie was the worst thing that ever happend to the franchise, evrything he did should be scrapped and this new guy should do something new and original and make sure myers has the mask, no hoodie and no beard all that bullshit needs to go. and hopefully this new guy will save it and give us some hope again because rob zombie was an absolute disgrace

I didnt think the Valentin movie was all that great. The 3D could have been way better. When I think of 3D I imagine it as if it is coming out at you kind of how the Final Destination movie was. I want it to come out at me to where I am trying to back up, but its still in my face

This guy is just a horrible choice. I watched MBV and it just made me sick that I payed for such a ridiculously bad movie. I loved the special effects, they were very well most of the time but I don't go to see Halloween movies for the special effects. I love Rob Zombie movies and even though the last one was kinda dissapointing I would rather have someone in the vein of his work rather than this guy. I can tell you now I won't be seeing this no matter what.

man Im surprised at all the Zombie hating going on, he strives to keep the 70's horror vibe with gritty realistic gore (not digital) and reinvent it all at the same time, no there is no perfect movie out there never will be but as a fan of horror and especialy slasher i love Zombies work. How long has it been since most of you watched any of the Halloween movies after 2 they get bad fast worse than any freddy or jason. a cult, a reality show good lord!! Zombie gave us a visual representation of what a madman sees and what drives him, that was amazing! and his sis carrying that same gene for insanity! its deeper than just "ghosts" thats not what his mother (moon) was about its what Mike beleived was the way to be a family and thats fucked up.Thaks you Rob.

I aggree with ryans post above, Rob Zombies movie sucked, (Halloween 2 that is) - Im and old school horror fan, and i saw the orginal halloween 1 in 1978, and ill tell ya, no remake can compare to that. There's too many f---ed up things about zombies movie, and what i dont understand is why no one has stepped up to make the real Halloween 9 movie where ressurection left off ? - I once saw an interview with Moustapha Akkad, and they asked him, "how many Halloween movies are you going to produce ?? and he said " i will make 22 of them", well from where i stand, they on made 8 so far, so lets keep em goin..Also, i hate all the new mask styles, except i think zombies is pretty cool, but they shoould go back to william shattners mask the original, or alt least the Dick Warlock mask..Or better yet, Have them used a Fan mask, that was made by an artist..theres lots of them at www.michael-myers.net...enough said..

Zombie's reboot of the franchise was great with the first one, but the second one he made was not. It was a good "horror" movie but a horrible "Halloween" movie. The first one he made was great. I think it even topped the original, but the second one should either be scrapped in the storyline or claim that all the killings in the second one was Laurie since she was shown wearing the mask at the end. That way, Michael is still alive and on his way.
