Saw VI Review - Is the Franchise Dead?
Saw fans and horror fans in general have had one thing to look forward to the past 6 years around Halloween and that 's a new Saw film. Some love the series for its brutal realistic torture scenes and the elaborate nature that Jigsaw sets up his traps. The series always seems to come full circle and after a sub par "Part 5" movie, does the series recapture the magic?...

Well I thought this was going to be an easy movie to review. I caught the opening of SAW VI at midnight last night and before going into it I was sure I'd be able to sum it up in one word..SUCKED!
I'm amazed to report though it was actually pretty good. Its actually entertaining and imaginative this time around. Jigsaw is back and the new traps and kills don't disappoint! Its got some tense moments and some all out brutality.
Its shot entirely on video so you might not like the lack of film look; theirs too many flashbacks; some of the acting is sub par....costars Mandylor as Hoffman slugs around in the movie like a bloated Sylvester Stallone look alike but over all the complaints are minimal.
Theirs also some killer social commentary that is pretty dead on and avoids being hokey.
If you like a brutal GORE film....go see SAW VI. It delivers the goods and should be a lot of fun this Halloween.
The end kill is I think the best in the franchise thus far.....this piece of shit of a human being after being tortured for an hour through various "tests" gets hammered with hundreds of needles that proceed to pump hydrofluoric acid through his body. The end result is gobs of organs and intestines spilling all over the floor!
special thanks to Evan aka NY Ghoul for the review!

As for another one? its coming lol.
And why do some people act like brutal gore is a new generation horror? please go back to the 70's and start your way up. There are hundreds of brutal films that were gore for gore's sake and just for an all out fun horror fest. Many even had social commentary.
The new SAW does as well lol....I don't think JIGSAW is a fan of Obama's proposed government controlled "free" health coverage!
That being said I WOULD like to see a new franchise that is a different sub genre of horror.
and describing the whole thing concerning that.
