7" Michael Myers H2 Figures Have Arrived!!!
What took so long? This happens more times than not when it comes to collectibles but it still seems bizarre to have your figures hit shelves after the movie buzz has died down. After months of waiting Mezco's 7" Michael Myers H2 figure has finally started showing up on door steps. Read more to see packaging images.
Follow up:
Months before the release of Friday the 13th 2009, Jason figures were readily available for the picking. In my humble opinion this only added to the hype. So when it came to Zombie's Halloween 2 I was put off that I wouldn't see any replica figures until 2-3 months after the film had come and gone. Plus, H2 wasn't exactly embraced by fans at large so I can only assume this would at least put a dent in sales (really, who wants to own a collectible from a movie you hated?). Maybe Rob's directors cut DVD/Blu-Ray can save face but will it be too late?
I actually like this packaging, the jagged edges are an attention getter. What I find more interesting is that Myers is in fact wearing Carhartt X01s with the zipper chest pockets. For some reason I was thinking that he wore XO2s in the hospital scene and X01s under the homeless garbs. I've only seen the film once so I'll be looking for clarification in my next viewing.

For instance, Why would you change a sculpt on a mask if it is to be a continued story from where part 1 left off? Why not just take the same mask used in the first one OR pour another copy from the first one and then add more weathering and cut away what needs to be cut away. And why not go with the same Carharts the whole way through the movie? Just little things like that, that doesnt make any sence.
On another note, I can tell just buy these photos that they are getting CHEAP with there figures. Personally I hate the packaging. I think the clear plastic cases where MUCH nicer. At least if you laid it down somewhere on a table top and lets say there was a spot of water on it, the packaging wouldnt get ruined and it makes dusting much easier when you can take a damp wash rag over your cases without hurting them. With cardboard you can't. And I've seen one of these new package designs... They are tiny, Skinny and Narrow... Hate it...
The figure even looks like it's lacking in detail comparred to the older Mezco figures. This is just my opinion, but I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who can see this...

The figure itself looks ok although Im stoked for a hobo myers.
As for the film Im on record saying it was killer. Im not easy to please...been into horror for almost three decades and I think a lot of the anti H2 was a trend BUT its all subjective.
The figure is cool...the movie was awful, just AWFUL!
Visions of white horses, seeing his ghost mommy and hallucinations of himself as a child...WTF? Then you have "hobo Myers", Dr. Loomis being a prick, Michael grunting like a bear and some acid-trip-inspired scene that had the "Pumpkin King" and some other crazy psychedellic characters flashing around in Michael's head while ghost Mommy watched.
GARBAGE!!!!
How ANYONE could pretend this isn't the lowest entry in the franchise is beyond me.
This crap made H5 and H8 look like The Lord of the Rings or Star Wars.
