H2: Halloween II DVD & Blu-Ray Official Release Date
Video ETA just announced the release date for Rob Zombie's Halloween II on DVD and Blu-Ray. If you recall, Rob talked about a director's cut (that you can read on Zombie's Twitter account here), which will be included along with another making-of documentary. The real question is, "will fans be picking this up?". Read more for the release date.
Follow up:
January 12, 2010 is the day you can score Zombie's Halloween II. Again, will fan curiosity of a director's cut entice them to pick up a copy? If you recall, Halloween II wasn't well received by the Halloween fan community as a whole. The film opened in August and made a short run during Halloween leaving it with a worldwide gross of $37 million to date. Michael Myers nor the studio can't be too excited about that number even though the title is still dubed a success.

This will be the second Halloween movie I won't actually buy, aside from Resurrection. No director's cut or producer's cut, or entirely new movie will make me wanna shell out 20 bucks for this turd. I spent that much in the theater, and felt ripped off. Safe to say I think we've seen the end of this bout of the franchise. I wait for the next bout...

Im buying it the day it comes out, cuz its bad ass and gory as hell. and i like what zombie did to the characters, not the same old crap like in parts 4-ressurrection, michael myers was pissed as hell and it was great watching him destroy people (like never before, might i add) he didnt have to stick to the remake formula and i felt this was more of his own movie, as if he just directed another sequel to the originals. i dont know. im in the major minority on this one but whatever haha

i'll buy it, and i'll tell you all a few things. it's easy to sit and bash a movie you didn't like. even more so when you use a fake name to hide behind. well lemme tell you little fat kids in your fanboy shirts this. your opinion matters absolutely not at all when it comes to movies. if one idiots opinion could change the course of a movie series, then every last movie would suck ass and we might as well be watching some Baliwood dance movie. I for one liked Rob's versions of these movies a hell of a lot more than the originals. the originals were slow, badly written, and frankly, fucking retarded.

No way will I spend my money on this movie. I saw it once and that was one time too many for me. I never want to see it again. Ever. The movie shouldn't even have 'Halloween' anywhere in the title as far as I'm concerned. For those of you that like it, more power to you, but for me this movie sucked and sucked bad.

all this time, when people shitted on zombie for his remake of probobly one of my favorite films ever, I said these people suck, and Rob Zombies' new version of the film was pretty exccelent.
2 years later im singing a completely different tune now. l was so excited for part 2, and when I went to go see it, I felt like a kid that opened a box on christmas to discover dog poop in it.
THE MOVIE WAS THAT BAD.
So bad in fact, that I cant even sit down to watch Zombies first one now. l guess im as "traumatized"? as laurie, lol.
i dont know where to begin. it got off too a shitty start with that ugly, hick bastard emt worker in the passengers side seat, telling the driver how turned on he was by poor lyndas corpse and how he'sd consider getting down and dirty with a corpse, if she were hot enough. as overjoyed as I was that myers killed the perv, it was starting to get good again.....especially when laurie was in the hospital and her brother tried killing her there like in the 1981 remake, to the original classic.
but then laurie woke up. that part turned out......to be a dream.
it is now a year or two, later, and laurie is now living with annie and her dad, in this horribly shack held together by God only knows what. He's a cop. cops salaries arent THAT BAD, are they?
i could go on and on about how horrible and trashy this film was, but what would be the point? my opinion of Rob Zombie changed from really good, to really terrible after seeing this film.
and the way he turned dr. loomis into a real douche bag, had to be the most unforgivable. what they should had done was keep annie alive, and let laurie die this time. Scout taylor comptons acting had only gotten worst with this film. and then there was that skanky girl that played her friend in the movie. i dont remember much about her.....just that she was dirty, skanky, and had 0 unlikable characteristics. it was a good thing when myers offed her as well.
so hopefully when halloween 3D comes out, it'll be better. just keep rob zombie away from this fellas!

Between it having two release dates and hoopla of good and bad, I should've known. Another thing, NOT ALL REMAKES SUCK; such films like The Fly, Dawn of the Dead, and John Carpenter's The Thing, I really think this generalisation is totally uncalled for!

I have been a Halloween fan since I was five even if I don't like this I'll buy it to have the whole collection...It has been very entertaining to read these comments, I have been laughing for five minutes strong! Don't take them so seriously everyone is entitled to their own opinion including Rob Zombie. It was nice to see what someone else could bring to the table. That said it will still be interesting to see what someone elses spin on this Classic series is 20 years from now!

Well now, I never thought I would ever have to write on one of these things. Let me say that Rob Zombie captures a time that people with any depth can relate to using his artistic ability to combine gruesome and quite violent death scenes with amazing 70's rock and oldies soundtracks. He makes the movie seem believable in the sense that his movie scenes project real life scenarios:Dirty houses, beat up cars, everyday people, etc. He makes Myers to be a very sadistic and physically powerful man. His outake on the movie seems like it could very easily happen, as if Myers was a serial killer in today's society driven off human emotions to the point to where he went deep into insanity. Way too much to explain why Rob gets the fuck down on his filmaking! Stop giving credit to movies that are actually horribly made films.Fuck

ok the original is a classic but very out of date h20 and the one with busta are garbage.rob zombie took a big chance and blew alot away with the first one but ill b the first to say i was let down by h2 in the end but only in the end cause the rest of that movie was fucking awesome. ive loved all these movies since childhood and i have to give props to ne body who can make a movie thats hard for me to watch(in terms of blood and gore)so in MY OPINION a 4 sure purchase.
