'Paranormal Activity' DVD & Blu-Ray Release Date Announced

Right when you think the buzz and hype has died down we are hit with another PARANORMAL ACTIVITY bombshell. In what could be another brilliant play by Paramount, their largest grossing rated R film of all time will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD shortly after the holiday season. With money in hand and hype still looming they are banking on a great home video release...

Follow up:

Officially announced here first! The date is set, December 29, 2009 according to Blockbuster.com and although this appears to be a very quick turn around the plan has always been to get this on the shelf as quick as possible. This won't be a "Black Friday" special but closer than we imagined. It will have the (3) alternate endings as well as extensive commentary and interviews from the director and both central actors. This is a film that is perfect to watch with one or two people late at night a home and therefore we think the Blu-Ray and DVD sales will huge. Stay tuned for more information on the exact content detail as we get it.

I loved this movie and it scared the hell out of me the first night I watched it. Sadly, this is the type of film that just doesn't stand up to repeat viewings for me. The only reason for me to own this dvd would be to watch it with people who haven't already seen it and gauge their reaction to it. Movies like this just have plots too thin to warrant repeat viewings. Once it has really gotten it's hooks into you once, it's just not the same the second, third or thirty third time. Am I alone on this?
