News about the NIGHT OF THE DEMONS remake isn't anything new. However, if by some chance you've not heard that the wicked 1988 NIGHT OF THE DEMONS has been remade and looking to hit theaters this February . . . now you have! What's the big deal you ask? PLOT: "Angela Feld is throwing the Halloween party to end all Halloween parties at the infamous Broussard Mansion in New Orleans, where dark events transpired almost a century ago. But when the packed party gets busted by the police, Angela and her friends Maddie, Lily, Suzanne, Colin, Dex and Jason are the only ones left behind. Soon Colin and Angela make a grisly discovery in the basement and inexplicable events start to take place. With the mansion gates mysteriously locked, the seven find themselves trapped for the night...and soon they're fighting ancient demons for their very souls."

The original's 1988 director, Kevin Tenney, gave Adam Gierasch consent and approval to write and direct a remake. Originally slated for an October 9th, 2009 release, NIGHT OF THE DEMONS has been pushed back to February 2010. The remake, written by Gierasch and Jace Anderson, stars Diora Baird (THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING), Shannon Elizabeth (AMERICAN PIE, THIR13EN GHOSTS, CURSED, SCARY MOVIE, JACK FROST), Monica Keena (FREDDY VS JASON), Bobbi Sue Luther, Jonathan Beach, Michael Copon, Tiffany Shepis, and Edward Furlong.

In case this didn't jump out at you let me go over the casting again. Shannon Elizabeth, Monica Keena, Diora Baird (SEE BELOW) and who cares about anybody else! Wow, this a serious cast of hotness! If this movie even happens to suck, with eye candy like that it would be hard not walking away without appreciating something.



NIGHT OF THE DEMONS already made it's theatrical debute in the UK at the Film4 Frightfest. You can read a review at Dread Central here. I have to admit that I'm at least a bit excited to see.
