Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D - Remake, Re-Imagining, Re-What?
You may or may not know this but LEATHERFACE'S chainsaw is getting dusted off and polished yet again. This time by Twisted Pictures & wait for it...it's gonna be in eye-popping 3D. While no captain is at the helm just yet, Stephen Susco (THE GRUDGE 1 and 2) is penning the flick which hasn't exactly made anyone pick their jaw off the floor...
Follow up:
Susco is promoting a stoner comedy he wrote called HIGH SCHOOL, and got a chance to chat a (very) little about the new TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE...
"I can’t comment about it at this point – but I can say that it’s neither a remake nor a re-imagining... I loved what the Platinum guys did with the CHAINSAW remake, which is one of the reasons our film is going to be an entirely different beast."
Back in October, producer Mark Burg hinted that the new TEXAS CHAINSAW would have a more "urban" feel, while also mentioning that it would deal with a "relative" of the demented family. So it would seem as though this is something of a sequel, while also it's own monster, separate from the existing films - think Bryan Singer's SUPERMAN RETURNS. There's no release date set for TCM 3D, but I think it's safe to say it won't hit before 2011.

No visual in the new TCM can match Jessica Biel in a tank top.
