Sundance Reveals New 'Buried' Photos

Showing at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, Rodrigo Cortes‘ Buried centers around a contractor in Iraq who comes to in a buried coffin. I guess it's kind of like Uma Thurman in Kill Bill Volume 2 only Ryan Reynolds doesn't know Kung Fu. With only a light and a cell phone he must find away out of before he runs out of air. Sounds to me he's pretty much screwed since I doubt you can get good reception six feet under....

Follow up:

Sundance describes the 94-minute film as follows:

Paul Conroy (Ryan Reynolds) is a U.S. citizen working as a contract driver in Iraq. After a swift and sudden attack on his convoy, he awakens to find himself buried alive inside a coffin with nothing more than a lighter, a cell phone, and little memory of how he ended up there. Faced with limited oxygen and unlimited panic, Paul finds himself in a tension-filled race against time to escape this claustrophobic deathtrap before it’s too late. If the sheer logistics of this premise are enough to make your head hurt, rest assured that director Rodrigo Cortés tackles these issues with relative ease, aided a great deal by a superbly convincing performance by Reynolds, the lone onscreen actor in the film. The result is a gripping and suspenseful thriller that will leave you gasping for air until the very end.

Hmmmmm ... interesting. I like Ryan Reynolds so it could be cool ... I guess. I dont realy see how it could be that great if the whole film is him burried and trying to escape Mcguyver style (Use Cellphone and Lighter, create Pulse Cutter and grappling hook out O_O), unless there is a crap load of the story told in flash back ... if thats the case then forget it. I spent a summer once watching the Highlander series becouse my brother is big into it .... I now have a solid HATE for flashback movies O_O
