Now that Harold Ramis (Egon) has not only confirmed there will be a Ghostbusters 3 in 2011 but also the return of the original cast along with newbies, the speculation can begin! Obviously we've not heard anything official but Cera told People magazine that he harassed Harold Ramis, while filming Year One, about playing a roll in the third Ghostbusters movie.

Cera informed People:
"(I loved) Ghostbusters! As a kid, I wanted to be Bill Murray's character. Harold told me lots of stories and I memorized every word."

Well what do you think? I've got to say that Cera's ability at playing awkward makes him an interesting candidate. Obviously he doesn't have the part (yet) and this is still just rumor news but you can guarantee this is only the beginning. Undoubtedly a hurricane of Ghosterbusters 3 news is on the horizon.
