Ghostbusters 3 Going 3D?

What would be more boss than Ghostbusters 3? How about adding a 'D' behind the 3! Yep, that would be a wild ride for sure not to mention it would be falling in with the current 3D trend (are you really that surprised?). Still, it has to be Avatar 3D and not the other crap that gives us migraine headaches after five minutes. Honestly, what better way to welcome back the boys in gray than with ghosts flying out of the screen being chased by proton beams?

Follow up:

According to Marketsaw.com, they received a tip from an inside source at ILM that Ghostbusters 3 will be shot in stereoscopic 3D. So hot on the heals that Ghostbusters 3 is happening, along with Ivan Reitman directing, it's possibly getting the 3D treatment as well!

This is great news in my book but please still treat this as rumor until confirmed by an official source. Read more of HorrorBid's Ghostbuster 3 related info.

I'm sure we can expect 3D annoucements for every future release of any major movie. Is 3D just a fad or is it the future of cinema?

With 3D cameras coming out...about 20,000 bucks a pop...and 3D ready HDTV's being made better and better everyday...I say yes. There will be 3 screens one day...one in the center and 2 on the side...like they demo'd at the most recent tech show. Total 3D Immersion. It will come to the theaters and homes.
