I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 2, The Grudge, and The Return are some of the films that warrant Sarah Michelle Gellar's scream queen status. Still, I think we can all agree she earned the crown from her role in TV's Buffy the Vampire Slayer series. Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a lone horror TV program for years giving us horror fans something to watch besides 90210 or Dawson's Creek (thank goodness). Unlike the sparkles of Twilight, for all the romance Buffy had equally if not more so gore, violence and horror! I honestly hated to see the show end (plus Gellar and Eliza Dushku were easy on the eyes).
