First Remake 'ANOES' Freddy Krueger Display Bust
April 30th is a date many of us have marked on our calender. You see that's when an old friend returns to terrorize us in our nightmares. Ok enough with the build up, everyone knows that A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET is being remade and though there are many different opinions on whether that's a good thing or not the one thing people are itching to see is exactly what Freddy's face will look like...
Follow up:
Well that's what Francis Hancock was in the search for when he set out to make a replica display of Jackie Early Haley as the new Springwood Slasher, Freddy Krueger.
We sat down with Francis (who is just getting his feet wet at sculpting and creating monsters) to talk a little bit about the project and his inspiration. "I did this project with the few images of the remake Freddy that are available (the official trailer that was released and NECA figure that I saw right here on HorrorBid). So I'm sure the looks not 100% accurate and we won't know until the film comes out. But it was a fun way to pass some time."
Not only did Francis attempt the new look of Freddy himself but he also took a stab (no pun intended) at making the new razor glove that Freddy will be wearing to terrorize dreamland once he makes his new appearance. "I also did the remake Freddy glove...which took a lot of grinding and chemicals to age it." He added. "The glove was made buy cutting the pieces out of copper pipe with a Dremel cut-off wheel and grinding them smooth on a bench grinder. I aged the copper and brass with a torch, gun bluing, antiquing solution, and a vinegar/salt mixture to get a little green patina. The green patina is probably not on the movie glove, but I thought it added a nice touch to the final piece."
Check out the pics below of Frans hard work. The bust he said was made out of latex and then foam filled with glass eyes. When asked whether or not Francis was excited to see the remake or if he preferred the original he remarked. "Its hard to get used to a Freddy Krueger not played by Robert Englund." But that didn't stop him from wanting to add his own take to the new film. Enjoy the pics.

Freddy looks like. Anatomy as well as more reference are needed to make a good bust, and this isnt it.
So dont base your thoughts on the real Remake Freddy over a bust made in a pure rush with an action figure as reference.
Grow up and get a job man because you yourself couldn't sculpt your way out of a wet paper bag.
Anyone want to see some of Tyler's early work please let me know. I'll be happy to post it but there is no real need to because two words sum it up.
GAWD AWFUL!
