Official New One Sheet 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' Remake Poster
The Nightmare is back on Elm Street! After nearly a year from the time this project was announced and the first teaser poster was shown, we finally have our official one sheet poster for Platinum Dunes brand new reboot of 'A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET'. Freddy's coming to get us all April 30th the question is, are you ready?...

This does look nice, I love how they're designing these posters..and I'm super stoked for the flick, lets just hope it's equally as cool as the advertisments are.

Well, given that we're not living in an age of subtlety or suggestion, it's a beautifully rendered graphic. Wonderful dynamic range, "pops" visually. I think I recognize some favorite Photoshop tricks. A well done illustration. What remains to be seen is if the script is decent or teenybopper, and what the brilliant Jackie Earle Haley does with the role. He strutted away with "Watchmen," IMO.

Oh maaaaaan....They want to separate themselves from the original and yet they capitalize off of it directly. Remember the cool artwork of the original? But why be original? From now on let's just put the killer blatantly on the poster. Here ya go boys and girls, now you don't have to think at all! Don't get me wrong, it's a cool picture, just stupid to be the main one sheet.

I think it looks great. Let's be honest, Freddy is what is selling this film, so it's a good marketing choice. I have loved all of the PD remakes so far, and I'm sure this won't be any different. I really think that the internet has ruined the film industry since everyone gets so opinionated now. I mean seriously, I can still remember when people considered Jason Takes Manhattan to be one of the coolest ideas ever...if it were done today, people would say that New York is sooooo cliché and try to boycott it.
In fact the "originality" here is that they aren't covering their package with a bunch of sparkles and ribbons. This is very "what you see is what you get". I do feel they could have been more mysterious, like using just the glove or the hat..but this is what we got. And I for one am digging it. Haley will breathe something into this roll I've been wanting to see for nearly a decade now.
By the way, I sadly did not get to witness this incident that was removed from the website, but I wonder what could have been bad enough for public apologies and the firing of a staff member? Can anybody tell me?

It’s called mediocrity and basically this poster is still a teaser even though they are calling it “the” 1 Sheet. They don’t want to show you more because it may not be what you want to see; yet, they feel they have to show you what the movie is about…Freddy. (There are SO many other angles they could have done this.)
Sadly, much like the unimaginative Star Wars Episode 1 teaser poster showing just a picture of young Anakin and his shadow being Darth Vader; what a boring and lame poster that was, nothing more than a photo-shopped picture that a person spent maybe a day designing; same thing here. This is mindless advertising and that is what they think of us; we’re dummies and have to be spoon feed.
I can’t wait to see the movie because of Jackie Earl Haley being a fine actor yet, from what I’ve seen; the other actors are just not up to par…much like this artwork.
I'll take the original Matthew Peak artwork anyday!
