3D Trend Continues with Ridley Scott's 'Alien' Prequel

Information about the Alien prequel has been few and far between that is until today. It's no surprise with the recent explosion of 3D films to hear this announcement but we have a feeling Alien fans will either love the decision or hate it...

In an interview with ShadowLocked.com the prequel's art-director Roger Christian let the following information leak.

"Ridley's doing the next Alien in 3D," Christian tells the site. "He has a very clear understanding of where this should go. They kind of stopped dead one of the greatest horror franchises there's ever been, and it had legs to go on. So I'm hoping he'll revive another three. The world certainly wants it, and the fans want it - everybody."

There you have it, Xenomorphs jumping at you in full 3D! Good, bad, indifferent? Where do you stand Bidites?

I didn't know there was a alien prequel on it's way.Should be good with Ridley Scott on it last I heard he was working couple of miles down the road from me on Robin Hood in Farnham England (same place they filmed Harry Potter Deadly Hallows,Descent 2 and R Scotts Gladiator)Not sure about it being 3D but I suppose it won't hurt.

It's about time, I've been hearing that R. Scott was doing a prequel. Hopefully he will take us where the aliens live. 3D I don't know but that seems to be where we are headed.

Its good to hear that R.Scott is returning to do a prequel.His original was the scariest one of the entire franchise.I am a little sick of all the 3d trend,however the way that the aliens blend in to thier surroundings would be pretty cool to see in 3d.

Ummmm sorry, but isnt a prequal to Alien kinda like doing a prequal to The Thing, or even the movie Titanic in the first place? Why go threw the trouble of makeing a film when you know the ending? The ship sinks .... the end. Eggs laid, wait for Ripley .... the end O_O
