Gage is Back Yet Again in 'Pet Sematary' Remake!
You're sitting their thinking to yourself, "they buried the original film stock in the old Micmac Indiana burial ground but it won't die!" Stephen King's Pet Sematary is coming back and today we learned who will be penning the script. Pet Sematary is one of those rare horror gems that transferred almost better on-screen (mostly thanks to the late Fred Gwynne) then it did in the novel though it was a terrific read...
Follow up:
Matthew Greenberg (1408) will be writing the adaption of yet another Stephen King novel for this reboot. Published in 1983, King's creeper tale centered on a family that trades the city life for the country life in Maine, then discovers that they have moved near a pet cemetery that rests on an ancient burial ground. When the husband's toddler son is killed in an auto accident, the father takes the boy's body to the cemetery, where it is resurrected in demonic form.
Pet Sematary (Cemetery, Semetery) fans know this is going to be a tough remake to pull off because of the tremendous presence Fred Gwynne gave to this character in the movie Jud Crandall. We have to admit, the thought of making a creepier looking Zelda sounds like a touch bite to chew.
Mark Vahradian and David Ready are overseeing for Di Bonaventura Pictures. Greenberg, other genere films consist of "Reign of Fire," "Halloween: H20" and "Mimic."
Bidites we know you'll weigh in on this. How does this news sit with you?

It's all about the money bro... Doesnt matter how long ago something was made as long as there is some fourm of a time gap between they will remake it because of the popularity. They know with big titles like F13, HalloweeN, NOES, Exorcist, MBV, Exc Exc... They will rake in the dough. To them as long as they have a few good parts of the movie to use for the trailer to suck people in, they know that they will make the money. They don't really seem to care about keeping things true.
This is only my Opinion.
As far as making a creepyer Zelda, I am going to go ahead and predict the future. She's going to be done in CGI, no need for the good ol fashion make up effects and she's going to have the same ol black stringy hair like all the other CGI animated characters featured in The Messengers, The Grudge, The Ring Exc Exc... Not sure that her face would look like that, but I'm sure her hair will...
Nobody will EVER come close to being another Judd... And I think that one of the major reasons why that movie was so good, was also because of the old school feel which there is no such thing in nowaday movies. So that may as well be wrote off...
Not sure that they would keep the same music, but if that is changed you may as well forget about being freaked out at all...
I feel that the good script, good acting, good music and a good old school feel is what made that movie what it is. And I also believe that if they remake it, well be lucky to see half of those qualities. May as well face the fact that it is not going to scare us... We are to hardcore to get scared over a modern remake.
These are just my thoughts. I "Might" be wrong and I really hope that I am. For the longest time now and I think I can speak for at least 75% of you bidites, I've been waiting for someone to spin my head with a remake and make me say, "Damn That Was Awesome!!!"
It would be nice to see more creativity instead of fancy lights flashing and someone screaming. It would be nice to see some elaborate make up effects and not CGI. It would be nice to see Horror as the way it used to be.

I am a fan of the original, and I love Stephen King, and I will give this remake a chance. Someone already said that they would be happy if it was closer to the book.I agree, I liked the book, and I thought all the stuff in there about the Wendigo was really interesting. I always thought it would have been cool if that was in the movie too, maybe this time it will be.
