The horror tribute at the Oscars may be the water cooler talk of the day but on Saturday at the Spirit Awards some real horror news broke about the Paranormal Activity sequel. MTV got a chance to speak with star Micah Sloat at the event's red carpet and the actor promised a couple of things, mainly that the new film will stay true to the spirit of the original...

"All I can tell you is I'm very excited for the project," says Sloat. "it's really cool, it's gonna be really interesting and it's not gonna suck, which most horror sequels ... you would imagine ... would. We have money now, but we're staying true to the heart of the movie, to the spirit of it, to the vision."
