It's Official: HorrorBid is 'Twilight' Free
It started months ago with an online poll we ran. We asked each and every one of you to not only tell us if in your opinion Twilight was horror but also whether you liked seeing Twilight news and updates on the site. The response was overwhelming. Follow up:
We work hourly to bring you the latest news, updates, rumors and articles that we hope appeal to you (the readers). With such an overwhelming response coming from the Bidite nation we have discussed on whether or not to make the site sparkly vampire free. The decision was made today that HorrorBid will not run Twilight stories from this point on. After going through the legal process to rid our self from the Twihard madness, we can now officially claim to be 100% Twi-Free. A phrase that we have also trademarked and copyrighted.
When word of this made it around the office today, we spoke with a few of the staff to get their reactions.
Dashape (Exec. Managing Editor) When I heard the news today I couldn't believe my ears. If people don't like to read the stories then they don't have to read them. It's that simple.
David Adkins (Associate Editor) I just found out and to be honest I couldn't be happier. Why not run stories about babies hugging kittens. TWILIGHT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HORROR! HorrorBid is about the fans of horror and it should remain that way.
Diane Hockman (Contributing Editor) I think I represent most of the females that love horror out there. Twilight is fine but belongs in it’s own category. I think the company made a strong bold decision that will go over well in the community. Kudos to us!
Tom "Skippy" Barsky (Senior Paginator) I could honestly care less. I work my 40 a week, do you really have to even include me in this discussion.
There you have it. Just a sample of our fine staffers and don't worry about Barsky, he's always like that. I'm positive we'll have supporters of this decision and others that just downright don’t care. Whatever side of the fence you’re on we hope our decision will not affect the way you look at the site. Remember there are plenty of Twi-Blogs out there that will more than happily share the news about Edward and Bella and the rest of the twinkling cast.

HORRORFANtastic!! to not listen to or see anything more about this cinematic turd is the best news i have heard since i found out you can order a double quarter pounder with big mac sauce. this shit smear on the horror community needs to be cleaned up and i for one am happy that you guys are spraying the first disinfectent on this stinky dung pile of a "vampire" movie. fuck off twatlight!!!

I've heard of gay vampires.
The Southern Vampire series aka Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris, that has also been turned into the popular HBO show True Blood, has quite a bit of gay vampires.. male and female.
Twilight is just plain stupid!
True Blood and the books it's based on kick fucking ass!
I've read so far the first 5 books and they're loaded with violence, blood/guts, nudity and a ton of steamy sex.
Twilight has nothing for adults.

I give this bloga 5 skull rating not only on not having to hear about that horrid series anymore, but because of the way this site has handled the situation. I made a whiny little rant at around 3am about this and got a personal email from Justin almost immediately.
It wasn't cool of me to rant like that, I should know better, but the way Justin has handled this and listened to his supporters is a dream. Don't ever lose touch with your readers guys, because you're going to be getting really strong supporters if you keep this up!
Now on to some horror eh?
