The wait is over. Lars and the Real Girl director Craig Gillespie has officially been announced as the director for the remake of the Tom Holland classic FRIGHT NIGHT...

Variety confirmed that negotiations ended today when the official announcement was made. Mad Men scribe Marti Nixon has been hired by Dreamworks to write the script. It appears as if fans of the original may get what they want as all arrows point to them keeping the original story and just updating the effects. Nixon is familiar with vampires having written for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.
