First Actor Cast For AMC's 'Walking Dead' Pilot

The first actor to be cast has now been revealed for AMC’s TV project based on Robert Kirkman’s post-zombie-apocalypse comic The Walking Dead...

Jon Bernthal (Eastwick) will be playing the role of Shane. Casting for the lead role of Rick Grimes has not yet been announced. The Walking Dead is based on the on-going comic book series by Robert Kirkman. It follows Grimes, a police officer who awakens from a coma to a zombie apocalypse. He sets out with other survivors to find his family and a safe haven from the flesh-eaters. Darabont begins shooting in a few months.
