Finally, Some Halloween 3-D News; Back to John Carpenter's Roots?

This is still not the H3D news we are expecting but Patrick Lussier (who was slated to direct the film) sat down with MTV today to talk about his new film DRIVE ANGRY and the discussion quickly turned to the state of Michael Myers...

Follow up:

"The film that we wrote took place, like, the next frame after Rob's 'Halloween II' ended and immediately went into stripping Michael Myers back to his John Carpenter roots," Lussier said, referring to the creator of the "Halloween" franchise. "That's what we did very quickly. And then you pick up the story a year later as Halloween rolls around again. Everybody's back in the fray. That was our goal."

So I know you Michael Myers fans love hearing the fact that Myers might make his way back to his JC roots but it appears as if the Weinstein's aren't quite as eager to pull the trigger on this project until a few pieces of the puzzle fall into place. But trust us when we say this. There will be an H3D or will eat our hats. Who will pen it and direct it is up in the air but Michael Myers will return to Haddonfield, that much we are certain of.

A 3d installment of the Halloween franchise could be great just as long as they spend the money and use the 3D cameras to shoot the film. The conversion process is not all that great.

Hopefully it won't blow; Rob Zombie's visions were the best Halloween had seen in a long time, and were better than most.
Hopefully the third will be a sequel to the 2nd still though, ignoring installments makes a franchise stupid, even if people hated it.
Though less people hated it then everyone acts, fans of the old ones need to grow up and Rob Zombie haters need to get a life.

I'm excited to know their will be another Halloween movie. Rob Zombie butchered Halloween 1 and 2 and he should have never directed the 2 movies ! I'm so glad he will not be directing anymore Halloween movies.

I absolutly loved Robs versions, he potrays Myers how he should be. A homeless guy with issues, long dirty hair & beared. In John.C versions he was clean shaved & knew how to drive a car? How the hell can he drive if he's been locked up since 10. Plus after all the years gone by the mask still looks fresh from the shop he stole it from. Now Robs not doing it, we're now getting cheap effects & basic story line. wel I for one is not interested, do u really want another H2o...? Hell no, Bring back Rob! and be quick about it.
