How About Two 'Alien' Prequels in 3D?

Director Ridley Scott was front and center when Collider caught up with him at a recent "Robin Hood" press junket to discuss a little "Alien" prequel rumors and whether the film will be in 3D...

"Of course, it'll be 3D," he replied, adding that the film will be shot in 3D rather than converted later. The big obstacle, however, is that 3D cameras can't shoot in low light and "Alien" is all about darkness and shadows." Scott said that they'll tackle this issue in post-production.

He also mentioned that the story arc is so grand that one film just won't be enough, "It'll be two. It'll be prequel one and two. Then Alien 1," he explained. And regarding whether the two new films will be shot back-to-back. "At the moment I'm just trying to get the first one out."

This sounds good.... 3D and Ridley Scott going back to his roots.... could be epic. Robin Hood looks terrible though...not interested at all in seeing that.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH OF THIS 3D SHIT NO EVERYBODY CAN WATCH 3D BECAUSE IT HURT THERE EYES AND CAUSES HEADACHE AND I AM ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE .UNTIL YOU CAN FIX THAT PROBLEM THAN SCREW 3D ....JUST DO A SEARCH ON GOOGLE UNDER AVATAR 3D SICKNESS YOU WILL SEE THAT I AM NOT ALONE ON THIS ...

"Of coarse it's in 3-D" I can't say I was thrilled to hear that! I the 3-D era meets it's demise soon "Clash of the Titans" anyone need I say more! I do like the idea of two prequels though.
To my knowledge that hasn't been tried before, and with R. Scott at the helm this could get interesting. At least it's not another damn remake! Bad enough it's going to be in 3-D I don't know about anybody else but I'm getting sick and tired of wearing glasses to just see a movie.
