'Final Destination 5' Gets 'The Thing'/'Elm Street' Writer

With Hollywood's recent love affair for 3D owed in part to the success of the once dying "Final Destination" franchise, it was no surprise when a "Finaller" Destination was announced this past March to obviously be shot in 3D as well...

Follow up:

According to our friend Borys Kit from THR, the firth installment of the "Destination" franchise will be written by Eric Heisserer the scribe that wrote the green-light draft of New Line's remake of "A Nightmare on Elm Street," which opens this Friday, as well as "The Thing," which is currently in production in Toronto.

Plot details are slim (though we do know one scene involves a character undergoing laser-eye surgery) or a director has been announced as of yet. To view to entire story click here.
