The 40th year for the "Weekend of Horrors" convention and it marked its return to the Los Angeles area. It was a who's who weekend with an impressive guest list but one thing we are hearing more and more about was the "Hatchet 2" panel led by the one and only Uncle Creepy and the short teaser trailer showed to the crowd by director Adam Green...

Not only did we get a sneak peak at two brand new teaser posters (click here) but we also got a sneak peak at the trailers courtesy of Ryan Rotten from STYD. Below is a synopsis of the teaser trailers and a taste of the carnage Adam Green has in store for us when "Hatchet 2" hits theaters this October.

"The first clip is Rick [McCallum] and another guy hunting in the woods. They know something is up and Rick mouths, 'What the f**k?' Then Crowley comes out with a giant-ass chainsaw. They shoot at him but he keeps coming at them, swings the chainsaw up through their legs...and cuts them both in half simultaneously. Clip number two features a big fight in a cabin with [Leatherface star] R.A. [Mihailoff]. R.A. loses."

There you have it. We are looking forward to returning to the swamp as we know many of you are as well. This is just a tidbit of information but gives us a mental picture of what Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder) will be bringing to the table in this sequel. If Adam delivers what he told us a few months ago this will go down as one of the bloodiest slasher movies ever released on screen. We can't wait.
