Rob Zombie Asking If You Want 'The Devil's Rejects 2'?

Rob Zombie's infamous dark humor is as almost as notable as his music and film career. While Zombie has been on the road as of late touring one question that popped up on his blog today was about his upcoming film projects...

Follow up:

With a fan-box to vote on (click here) Rob is asking which film you would like to see him take on after his tour dates are dried up. The list of films include a remake of "The Blob", "Tyrannosaurus Rex", "Werewolf Women of the SS" and last but not least a sequel to the cult hit "The Devil's Rejects" which would again revolve around the notorious Firefly clan.

Is this a goof that Zombie is throwing or could this be a project that he is really willing to re-visit. We were fans of the original and it would be interesting to see what Zombie could do with a third film. Time will tell, stay tuned for more details as we get them.

As much as I loved House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects, it probably isn't a good idea to do a sequel.

Considering that the Firefly's died at the end of the movie, I'm not sure that I see a point to making another movie and risk tainting what was a very solid modern exploitation film. If he really feels that there is more story to be told, I would probably rather see the character backstories fleshed out in a comic book series, preferably through Dynamite Publishing or Avatar Press.

Well in a third installment the clan can come back from the dead. Say they are actually rejected by the devil as not worthy to reside in hell. I say you might as well go the supernatural route because how much further can you go in the dirty murderous hillbilly direction? With a supernatural angle you can have dirty murderous hillbilly ghosts. Or he can make them zombies that could kick ass!

Do it. I've been waiting for it since Rejects ended. It doesn't matter how they come back, or if they survived the gun fight at the end, barely, its a movie, and my favorite movie.
