Halloween: H20 Scribe to Finish Writing 'Pet Sematary' Remake

I09 caught up with Pet Sematary remake producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura to talk about a batch of "ugly" rumors that have been going around about this project. As if the film being remade isn't enough of an ugly rumor in itself, right? Nonetheless we do find out a few easter eggs of information fans will want to know about...

Follow up:

According to some original screen writer David Kajganich was brought on board to create a softer PG-13 story that involved a teenaged Ellie as the main character. Thank God that idea has been scrapped according to the producer.

Since then screenwriter Matt Greenberg (Halloween: H20, 1408) has been brought aboard to finish up the ideas that early versions explored but they make sure to point out, "they can't imagine the film being PG-13".

When asked what the hardest part of the project was he had this to say, "How do you write what you already know? We're going to try some new things in the first couple drafts and see how it plays."

There you have it Pet Sematary and Stephen King fans. The well will be tapped again no doubt about it, how it will turn out is as good as guess as anyone's.

This whole project should be cancelled why why why why can't Hollywood writers get there head out of there ass and write something original for once .I mean if Steve King can do it than why can't Hollywood .NO MORE REMAKES GOT IT PEOPLE ARE SICK AND TRIED OF THIS TREND AND ONE MORE THING NO MORE 3D EITHER.

It is an adaptation of a book, so I would call it just a new adaptation, not a remake- many good books have several screen adaptations.
Anyway, why are you all so much against remakes? The original movie is still going to exist and no one is obliged to watch the remake. Besides, if it makes money there is going to be more money to make new films, and there are plenty of good original films for every taste.
Looking forward to this one!
