'Halloween 3D' Being Talked About Once Again - Myers 2012?
Remember the Halloween franchise? Good old John Carpenter slasher action with a little known psychopath on the loose named Michael Audrey Myers? Well, for those of you that remember that you may also remember the reboot of the franchise coming at the hands of rock legend Rob Zombie...
Follow up:

The first film did well, the second film not so well. Immediately following the release of H2 the Weinstein Company (owners of the franchise) stated we would see Halloween in full 3D with a new director. Those plans fell through until today.
According to our friends at THR a slew of our favorite horror franchises are seeing more film time based solely on a few stars lining up and of all things the film Piranha 3D. Why are the animated, CGI laced ankle bitting Piranhas so important to our beloved franchises like Hellraiser, Children of the Corn and yes Halloween? Money!
Financial problems have plagued the company (owned by Bob and Harvey Weinstein) since its inception in 2005. With $30 million riding on Piranha 3D and another estimated $40 million on the resurrecting of the SCREAM franchise with SCREAM 4 money is the bottom line. If the films do well they fully expect to move forward with many projects including and we quote, "sequels to "Scary Movie" and "Halloween," among others."
Time will tell as "in development" is marked next to all of these projects. What does that mean? Nothing more than an idea and an IMDB page in most cases so don't expect to see Myers at the box office later this year. It does however give hope to those fans that want to see their once mighty franchises revisited, or at least dusted off and given the proper attention they deserve. This time hopefully without the bad taste left in one's mouth.

If you don't want to watch them, just don't watch them, it's as simple as that...
My opinion is, I love the original Halloween.I like most of it's sequels, except the last two. I love Zombie's remakes, and I will probably watch Halloween 3d if it is made. Also, I love original horror movies, but there are remakes I like too, and right now, that remake of Piranha can't get released fast enough. There haven't been many movies in theaters lately I am interested in seeing, and I am fucking bored on my days off.
I just don't think this 3D one will be good. It sounds like it's being rushed into production without any thought being put into it, as if the producers are thinking "Well, it's Halloween, so people will go see it no matter what. Plus it's in 3D! Everyone goes for that, right?".
I'd love to see a midquel about Michael's time in Smith's Grove, but I doubt that will ever happen.
I actually looked forward to H2 but when I saw his wife in it I thought WTF!!!!
As feared, and as much as it pains me to say this, it has to be the worst, most pathetic display of who wears the pants in Rob's house. There was absolutely no reason whatsoever to have her in the movie. AT ALL!!
And what was all that white horse shit. Or horseshit-Take your pick!
I actually couldn't believe what I was seeing, and even worse that it cost me 10 dollars and 2 hours of my life.
Michael wasn't Michael, and the story was TERRIBLE.
i would say to keep Rob well away from anything Halloween related in the future.
