Today after months of speculation we finally get a look at the theatrical trailer and it appears to be classic Craven. Will this film break the classic "Craven" mold? Time will tell. Feast on the high definition trailer below and also we have a HD version of the "mundane" poster as well.
Plot Synopsis: In the sleepy town of Riverton, legend tells of a serial killer who swore he would return to murder the seven children born the night he died. Now, 16 years later, people are disappearing again. Has the psychopath been reincarnated as one of the seven teens, or did he survive the night he was left for dead? Only one of the kids knows the answer.
Adam "Bug" Heller (Max Thierot) was supposed to die on the bloody night his father went insane. Unaware of his dad’s terrifying crimes, he has been plagued by nightmares since he was a baby. But if Bug hopes to save his friends from the monster that’s returned, he must face an evil that won’t rest ... until it finishes the job it began the day he was born.

Its NOES 1 and 2 combined, which is funny cause Craven hated the plot for Freddys Revenge.
Lets compare.
NOES 2: Fred Krueger (child murderer) comes to people in their dreams and kills them, but finds a human avatar (Jesse) to possess and do his bidding by killing off the children whos parents murdered him, out of revenge.
SOUL TO TAKE: Riverton Ripper (murderer) comes to people in visions and kills them, but finds a human avatar (Bug) to posses and do his bidding by killing off the children born on the night he was murdered, out of revenge.
Uhm...
He sure has made a ton of crap in the past few decades.
..SO, A movie about about a movie being made, featuring a fictional character from another movie, who magically becomes real and comes out of a movie to murder the real actors from the movies that he's a character from... That retarded script (New Nightmare) was almost as bad as "Shocker"! With it's ridiculous, people teleporting into fictional TV worlds that are somehow real.. Seriously!? What 4 year old did you steal this script from Wes!?
And that bullshit "Wish master"? What the fuck was that shit!?
Then after Scream, it suddenly brought on the trend for slasher films to be incredibly emo and non-badass!
He struck gold with "Nightmare on Elem Street". However, anyone would agree the majority of those sequels were rubbish.
Fuck Wes Caravan! He's disgustingly over-glorified while I'm sure there are literally millions of horror writers better than Wes Craven (and others) that are truly AMAZING, yet can't get a foot in the door.
