According to Shock Till You Drop they have received word from sources close to Clive Barker that a new Hellraiser flick is quickly heading into production. Well, this is interesting news but what about the supposed remake? Read more to find out.

"Details are scarce at the moment, but the film is called Hellraiser: Revelations and is based on a script by Gary Tunnicliffe. Victor Garcia is sitting in the director's seat. He recently wrapped Mirrors 2 for Fox. Tunnicliffe, as you well know, has been a Hellraiser family member for years having worked on the FX for many of the sequels.

We're told this is another stand-alone Hellraiser tale and shooting is expected to begin soon."

We guess as long as Doug Bradely is still Pinhead we're in but in all honesty we were hoping to see what could be done with a remake. Yeah we know, remakes suck but they do occasionally get one right and we thought the Hellraiser series was full of incredible ideas to expand upon in a reboot.
