Ridley Scott Talks ALIEN Prequel News
ALIEN fans we have a few nuggets of information from the 72 year old director about the upcoming ALIEN PREQUELS which will be set 30 years before the original 1979 film...

While talking to The Indepenedent Scott had this to say, "Set 30 years before the 1979 original, so with no room for Sigourney Weaver’s Ripley, the prequels will explore the origins of the deadly aliens. “The film[s] will be really tough, really nasty,” he notes. e dark side of the moon. We are talking about gods and engineers. Engineers of space. And were the aliens designed as a form of biological warfare? Or biology that would go in and clean up a planet?”
The films are being shot back to back in full 3D. Stay tuned for more information as we get it.

I think that idea sucks.How can you root for the human charactors in the movie when they're responsable for what's happening to begin with.It makes the humans the monsters,and the aliens innocent.
Yet another horror/sci-fi series where we are now supposed to root for the bad guy...which totally defeats the purpose.
