Will We Ever See Bruce Campbell Vs. THE EVIL DEAD Again? Campbell Speaks!
Ahhh, the legendary Bruce Campbell. A man's man! The chinned one! The epic B-horror movie actor from the days of EVIL DEAD and ARMY OF DARKNESS speaks once again about a topic that's probably no closer to happening than M. Night Shyamalan directing a picture without a twist ending. But when the chinned one speaks we listen, we report and we love doing it! Why? Because he's Bruce Campbell and he commands us so...
Follow up:
While sitting down with Rabid Doll he not only talked about Bruce vs. Frankenstein (yes, you must read here) he also waxed nostalgia about Sam Raimi and his beloved EVIL DEAD series and whether we will ever truly get a sequel.
"None of us have said no," he said. "I think Sam is always tweaking with the idea. He's joked with a couple of concepts. He has threatened to do it multiple times. He'll put a false statement out just to torment people. We joke that when he's got one eye left and I'm in the old actors' home, that's when we'll do it. But we both have day jobs now."
"The 'Evil Dead' movies, you really have to lock up about two years of your life for each 'Evil Dead' movie and we don't really have the time right now. Sam says that he will gladly get back on that track, but right now he's on that A-picture train and he's getting a lot more creative freedoms afforded to him with his success. I don't know that he needs to right now. And I'm kinda busy with the No. 1 show on cable. I don't think about it a lot because I'm busy doing other stuff."
So does it appear we are any closer to an answer? Not really. Sam is busy, Bruce is busy and the two seem content on living their lives without the threat of fending off Deadites at this moment. If we told you the truth we doubt a sequel will ever happen, a remake is far more likely and we know that makes some of your stomachs turn but such is the truth. As always stay tuned for more information as we get it. And remember if the chinned one speaks, you'll more than likely hear about it here.

They are just loosing money and the chance to please the fans.
A remake, on the other hand, with different actors and director would just piss off the fans! And I am not usually against remakes, there are some very good ones like The Fly, The Thing and A Nightmare on Elm Street- but what could possibly a remake add to the original Evil Dead???
