Them Zombies Are Still Hungry! Is ZOMBIELAND 2 Ready To Rumble?
From the first initial box office weekend we knew that director Ruben Fleischer's ZOMBIELAND was not only doing well at the box office but the talks of a sequel we're all but set in stone. So what are we waiting for? Is the script ready? Are the actors willing to come back? Is the director ready to shred some zombies again? Feast on the answers after the break...

According to a sit down interview with MTV writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wenick were put to work on the script and although it's early in it's draft stages word is it is that it can be ready and more importantly it's a good script. According to those that have read it of course.
The original cast (Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone and Abagail Breslin) are expected to appear in the 3D sequel, though no deals are inked. Yes, if you remember our initial ZOMBIELAND 2 story you'll remember it's being shot in REAL 3D. Which for once in life may not be a bad thing and actually could be fun (CLICK HERE).
So what's the hold up you ask. Well it appears as if director Ruben Fleisher is just too busy right now to take on another project. His next film, 30 Minutes or Less is getting his attention now and it would appear that he has at least another film or two on his plate as options before an inevitable ZOMBIELAND 2 happens.
Here is what the director had to say about the state of the sequel.
"What’s fun about the sequel is we have freedom and flexibility to show different periods. We might have scenes before the zombies, or we might have some months after, or potentially stuff further down the road. Through the voice-over and the way the movie is structured, we can really explore all different sides of it."
A lot of uncertainty in there, but Fleisher could be hiding his cards. Fleischer also told MTV that in-camera 3D is the way to go.
"When it comes to 3-D, I feel pretty strongly that you should shoot it in camera,” he said. “I feel like it just looks so much better. If you’re going to make a 3-D movie, go ahead and make a 3-D movie. I would definitely, if we do ‘Zombieland 2,’ make it in 3-D and want to shoot it in 3-D.
Stay tuned for more ZOMBIELAND 2 news as we get it.
