DISTURBIA Writer to Pen GOOSEBUMPS Film

R.L. Stine's GOOSEBUMPS series was the catalyst for many early horror film fans. The series is also quite the money maker only second to the HARRY POTTER series so a film adaptation and possible family friendly franchise was only a matter of time. That time has come and we have the details on who will be behind the script...

Follow up:

According to THR screenwriter Carl Ellsworth will be penning this live action script for Columbia pictures. Neal Moritz is producing via his Original Film banner along with Deborah Forte of Scholastic Entertainment. Stay tuned for more information about this project as we get it. Does anyone else think will hear a 3D announcement about this film soon? Yep, you know it's coming.

No... just no. The books were great, but for a movie adaption it would be horrible. The result would be just like CREEPSHOW or TRICK R TREAT (although they are good movies). RL Stines THE HAUNTING HOUR sucked, so if they're going to make a movie adaption of a series, it will me a miss because it will be budgeting off 90s kids that got their hopes up to see a good movie adaption of their iconic childhood series.

This is cool, glad to hear the Goosebumps kinda blew up. I so had that Goosebumps the series video w/ the haunted mask. I loved watching that series and the books were awesome. I loved reading the books when I was a kid.
