Bidites Meet Your New PINHEAD
The storied HELLRAISER franchises marches on leaving behind the man that helped define the series, Doug Bradley. Bradley has played the infamous role of PINHEAD in the last eight installments. That is about to change...
Follow up:
As we reported a few weeks ago the ninth installment in the series HELLRAISER: REVELATIONS is moving into production fast. The script for the story has been stamped out and apparently things are getting so bad at this point that Doug Bradley has basically called it quits (good news isn't it fans?).
Today via our friends at Bloody-Disgusting we learn who will take on the famous role. Stephan Smith Collins has been cast as the lead cenobite and will now don the role. HELLRAISER: REVELATIONS will be directed by Victor Garcia from a script by Gary Tunnicliffe. For more REVELATIONS news and information CLICK HERE.

As for this, the fact Bradley stayed so long with the mediocre scripts he dealt with over years and thought this one was bad says enough. If you can spoil the fun for someone who seems pretty open to cheese, you know you just invented a whole new type of cheese.
As much as I like Heather playing Nancy, let's face it, she is now too old to play her, and she is showing her age (she could maybe play Nancy's mother).
Robert was great as Freddy, but it was time for someone new and Jackie did an awesome job.
I don't know why you criticize so much the Nightmare remake at every opportunity nightmare glove, it was a very good movie, darker and scarier than the original and with new and better effects. The original will always be there and the fans should be happy to see their favorite characters back. Besides, the original actors are getting old and it is nice to see new interpretations.
To conclude, as much as I like Robert and the original series, no one can deny that the last movies (part 5 and 6 at least) were ridiculous and aimed towards kids to sell Freddy merchandise for them, and the former was becoming a clown and was not at all scary anymore, so the remake was a very good revamp for the franchise.
there can be no Hellraiser movie without the talented Mr. Bradley.
i will not go to see this movie, nor will i buy the dvd.
I wouldn't be surprised if HR9 doesn't end up in theaters, afterall the last 4 haven't been either but I guess you already knew that since you're such a "true fan." You can be love the originals all you want, most of us, if not all of us do. But you are being not only ignorant, but also making an ass out of yourself. Not only do I take that "true diehard fan" shit as an insult personally, but I ought to smack the taste out of your mouth for trying to speak for everyone. Not only did you lose your credibility when you said that, you now sound like a prick. If you were such a true fan, you'd know that acting isn't easy, the LEAST you could do is give them credit for their performance. But I guess that fanboy stick shoved up your ass won't let that happen, huh?
With that being said, I look forward to seeing how this film develops, for better or worse.

Doug turned it down... probably a combination of the script, the fast shooting time, and the fact he hasnt been approached for the remake.
I'll net flix this one just to see how bad it is... and to prepare myself for what its gonna be like without Doug under the pins.
Yeah... Its gonna be an adjustment to see a new Pinhead, BUT... Im more worried about the direction of the relaunch than anything. If the acting is good, and they can keep the TRUE spirit of what Clive wrote, then it could be amazing.
As for the 2010 NMoES, I have to say Jackie did an amazing job. If truth be told, the revamped story couldnt keep up with him. They had the chance to make his story as dark and twisted as Jackie was... but they copped out. They hinted and suggested what he [Freddy] did to the kids, when they could have went all out [showed us more] and really given us nightmares. As for the special effects, the CGI scenes of him coming out of the wall were far less impressive than the spandex wall of the original. Throughout the film I was mostly disappointed with what I saw. Not a bad movie, just not what it could have been.
I hope the future of Hellraiser doesnt suffer the same fate. On the flipside, I also hope it doesnt turn into a gorefest that looses the dark twisted nature of what Clive's Hell really is. Hellraiser made us think. It challenged our concept of good and evil and if following the rules really means doing the "right" thing. Its cerebral as much as it is brutal. Lets hope whoever ends up on the future project remembers that.
