Talk about learning to much about a film to fast. Either we're in shock from this news or it really sounds this bad. Regardless we will let you make up your mind. Via an Australian news outlet we get a rough draft look at what the new ALIEN prequel films will entail. Feast on the information if you dare after the break...
Follow up:
This story has since been pulled from whatsplaying.com.au by the studio because of the script being leaked, however we were able to get out hands on the information via our friends at /Films. Read if you dare.
"The story follows a group of terraforming aliens the script calls ‘Growers’ — these are seemingly of the race from which comes the original film’s ‘space jockey.’ There’s a strange sequence in which the Growers use a bit of mind control to instigate a homosexual encounter between Fin and Karik, two male human slave farmers. The aliens, you see, are a single-sex species and don’t understand the male-female breeding requirements of humans.
The title alien — the xenomorph — is a creature used by Growers as part of the terraforming process, and at a point in the script it develops into the creature we know and love. So we won’t see it in the form we know right off; this will be a payoff later in the script.
Into the group of Growers and human slaves comes a ship crewed by “the usual Alien misfits” complete with a female character that sounds like Vasquez from Aliens, and another woman named Truks that is reportedly the role for which Gemma Arterton was considered. Ridley Scott has also reportedly met with Lance Henricksen, though how the guy who fit into the established Alien storyline might work in this film, I can only conjecture. (I’d guess he’d appear only towards the end, as the xenomorphs are out of control, in a story thread that would point right towards the original Alien.)"

It certainly would sell much more, because almost everyone like to see two women together (I don't know of a single man that doesn't) and almost no one, besides homossexual men, like to watch to men together- it just doesn't look nice!!!
And you missed my point about making it a SMART movie. Like you said...the aliens are a single sex species, so it makes sense that they would be studying a same sex couple. That's what makes it smart in my opinion.
@ Marco Antonio Garcia, I've watched hetero sex in films for years so why not mix it up and have it be two guys. Two girls you say...so predictable.
My straight buddy who's here hanging with me has just summed it up... why would your straight minds immediately imagine gay sex from that synopsis. It talks about them studying a same sex couple.
The problem with homophobic people is they hear the words relationship and two guys and instantly think of the sexual act over anything else. Why?
