HorrorBid Presents SLAUGHTER WEEK
What the hell happened here? There's blood everywhere! Yes, today we kick start "slaughter week" with some fun and as always, a few suprises. What exactly does "slaughter week" entail? Good question, that's why we're asking for your help!...
Follow up:

Other than the site taking on what looks to be a fatal puncture wound to the throat, we will also be looking back at some of the best quote "slaughter" films in horror land. We're also asking all of you to weight in with your opinions about what film you think meets the critera.
This wouldn't be HorrorBid if we didn't have some prizes up our sleeve and look for us to be doing impromptu giveaways on Facebook and Twitter. It doesn't stop there. Oh, no! We also want to know what you consider the best "slaughter" film. List your favorite below and you'll be entered to win a limited edition (only 50 in the world) DEAD SNOW poster (CLICK HERE) from our friends at Phantom City Creative. That's not the end. We are also giving away a bevy of DVD's, Blu-ray's and t-shirts courtesy of FRIGHT-RAGS. The prizes are nearly endless. Needless to say, this is gonna be a fun week.
So sit back, relax and enjoy the gore. What exactly warrants a film "slaughter status"? Well that is actually a tough question. Would the original 1974 clasic THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE make the cut? It seems like it would however the lack of blood in the film is glaring. How about the SAW films? Aren't they "torutre porn"? They can't be "slaughter" films also, can they? The answer is we are unsure to be frank. That is why we are involving you, the Bidite army to help answer the question.
Simply list your favorite horror film below that you think best fits the role "slaughter film". We will pick the winners (the staff has already written down there favorites) at the end of the week, the first person to match one of our staffs favorite "slaughter movies" wins. We keep going down the line until we run our of prizes. Easy enought right? Good luck! (winners will be announced Monday, Nov. 15th)

I'm gonna say Inside. That movies drenched in blood, much like the site is now, and what a freaking ending.

One of the newest slaughter films with great kills is the all but forgotten "Laid To Rest".

WOW! Man was that ever brutal! I recognized quite a few of the films used but there were plenty that I did not recognize and now want to see. How do I find a list of the films they used to make this video? Anyway my pick for a "Slaughter film" There are so many to choose from but I will just go with a favorite Friday the 13th part VI Jason lives. That was the first super zombie/reanimated Jason The kills are brutal and numerous. I mean come on I think the count for the film is like around 17 people. And he wasn't using a machine gun or bombs! :)

Midnight Meat Train
Texas Chainsaw Massacre '03
Texas Chainsaw Massacre '03

I'd have to say High Tension and Rampage. Rampage isn't truly a horror type of slaughter but it's definitely a slaughter!

For an awesome movie in the "Slaughter" category, I think Joseph Zito's The Prowler from 1981 is pretty wicked for back in the day. The scene where the boyfriend gets it on the bed is brutal!

Damn what does one base his opinion on, blood count, hack and gash effect.
Well, honestly I dont know what my favorite horror movie is but my favorite series are Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th soooo honestly...
My vote for slaughter film is Freddy vs Jason. I mean theres a whole scene where Jason just hacks and slashs while hes drenched in beer. cant go wrong

The Burning of course for the simple factor of the raft scene alone.
I'd put in Dawn of the Dead as one also as there is nothing better then slaughtering Zombies and of course Zombies munching on people.
Piranha is another.
The Hatchet Movies
The big three of NOES, Friday the 13TH and Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Gruesome
Madman
SlaughterHouse
In the end it all depends on what someone counts as a slaughter movie.

I would say PLANET TERROR. Also, SCREAM because it was more realistic and had BRUTAL SLAUGHTER syle deaths, most notable being the deaths of Steve Orth and Casey Becker.

"Dahmer" (2002)
"Terror House" (1972) AKA - Red Wolf Inn
"Pyscho" (1960) Not really a slaughter film per say, but it's a TRUE classic slasher flick! nonetheless, and deserves a mention.
"Night of the Living Dead" (1968)
"Bad Ronald" (1974) TV MOVIE
"Jack the Ripper" (1959)
The entire "Final Destination" film series.
"Silent Hill"

Since some of my favorites have been said already (inside, high tension, Black Christmas)I will have to say....
Night of the Demons(original)
Friday the 13th part 3
Eden Lake
Tourist Trap
New Years Evil
The Hills Have Eyes(original)
I know this is probably cheating by saying more than one. I'm sorry. Just figured if everyone else was doing it I would too...because yes, if everyone else jumped off a bridge I would be right there behind them. ;)

In terms of lots of blood and people getting ruthlessly killed, there are so many to choose from, but I will give my top ten.
10) Quarantine
9) 28 Days Later
8) Hostel
7) Cannibal Hollocaust
6) The Midnight Meat Train
5) Texas Chainsaw Massacre (remake)
4) Halloween 2 (remake) *(the scene where he was killing the receptionist was brutally real, not to mention the rest of the movie)
3) Battle Royale
2) Evil Dead 2
1) Dead Alive
It was really hard to decide...
