MARTYRS Remake Gets EXORCISM Director

The LA Times are reporting that the remake of Pascal Laugier's MARTYRS has brought aboard director Daniel Stamm (THE LAST EXORCISM) to sit in the directors seat for the remake. Those not familiar with the original French film of the same name, lets just say, this is a revenge film through and through...

Follow up:

The new film is being produced by TWILIGHT producer Wyck Godfrey. According to our friends at WorstPreviews Godfrey stated that he wants Kristen Stewart in the lead role. When recently asked about starring in the film she replied that Godfrey has yet to approach her about it. Director Daniel Stamm is also denying the rumors of Stewart in the lead role. Interesting developments and a film we will be keeping an eye on. As always stay tuned for more information as we get it

It's not a "revenge film through and through." That's just absurd. No one who's seen this movie would say that. Jeez...

I'd like to add it's one of the best horror movies I've ever seen, and the idea of a remake is stoopid.
