20th Century Fox and Creator Joss Whedon Passed on 'BUFFY' Remake
You know your digging in a waterless well when series creator Joss Whedon (who has lived and breathed BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER for years including writing the original film and TV sereis) passes on a reboot project. Now we are hearing that 20th Century Fox also had their hand in the cookie jar but pulled back after considering the project to be a dud....
Follow up:
Since then we all know Warner Brothers has stepped in hiring an unknown writer, Whit Anderson, because quote "audiences want to see another Buffy!". If that's truly the case it seems odd that Whedon and 20th Century Fox would have passed on the project. Will the film sell tickets? Likely. Will it be the next TWILIGHT series like they are hoping? We don't think so but as we always say, time will tell. Stay tuned for more information as we get it.

I'm sure that I'm not going out on a limb to say that this movie is going to suck. BUT, people will probably go and see it, because we are apparently obsessed with cherished memories getting ripped to pieces and then prison screwed into epic failsville.
