Production Images of NECA's New Huge 1/4th Scale Classic PREDATOR Figure

Last week we announced that NECA had plans to release an exact 1/4th scale replica of a classic 1987 PREDATOR (19 inches tall). Since then the internet has been a buzz about this project and clamoring for more details. NECA heard the cry's and today we get some new production pics to feast on...

These new images show off the figure's real body netting and extreme articulation as well as displaying just how massive this piece truly is. The level of detail here is outstanding. We can't wait to see the finished painted project.

"NECA surprises fans today with the announcement that they will be releasing a 1/4th scale Classic Predator action figure. Available in April 2011 priced at around $80, the towering action figure will be available in three seperate versions: Open Mouth, Closed Mouth and with Helmet. The beast will be packaged fully assembled with over 20 points of articulation and real body net. This is the definitive 1987 Predator."

This looks fuckin awesome...BUT I still say they are milking it with the three versions. I think that both open and closed mouth predators should come with a removable helmet. I shouldn't have to pay $160 just so the predator can have a helmet. If I have to choose just one though, I'm going for the closed mouth version then...dammit now I want the open mouth...fuck...with a HELMET Goddamnit!

I agree with Frightbox this is a total scam here and you dam sure know that people on other websites will have these for twice the price .If it had the 3 version in one it would be great,but the way it is well it just screwing people out of money they don't have

a-w-e-s-o-m-e!!! i love the first predator. and now this fig. its like a dream come true.
anyways, i guess they can make the mouth open and shut; so that in the mouth shut state you can put the helmet on...so please; NECA, make US one (1) version we can play around with.

They're not milking it. Thats called options. No one but high-enders will get all 3. Its an option for people not wanting a bunch of different heads that will collect dust.

I've got the 18" alien, and cant wait to get this. $80 is a bit steep though. Its double what the alien cost, and has just as much detail and articulation.

Well than Tyler...you have the OPTION to stick a straw up your ass and suck. Doesn't sound like a good option? Neither does having to spend $80 a pop just for an open mouth or a helmet. Having 2 extra heads is the best OPTION I've heard so far. So...since they aren't willing to do that then they ARE milking it. How do you justify $80.00 more dollars for less than an inch of plastic different on the figure, and that's it? NECA has given interchangeable heads in figures before...like my hellraiser pinhead. My 19" terminator endoskeleton came with a different hand to hold the gun. But according to you Tyler, maybe they should have created TWO versions of that endoskeleton...one that can and can't hold a gun $80 a pop. Sounds great doesn't it? Now Tyler...back to that straw we were discussing earlier....
