ZOMBIELAND 2 Sans Woody Harrelson?
Will it or won't it? That is the big question surrounding the status of a sequel everyone's favorite zombie comedy, ZOMBIELAND. Of course we are assuming that if you think that then you've never seen SHAUN OF THE DEAD. Back on topic, ZOMBIELAND was a smash it propelling young Jesse Eisenberg into SOCIAL NETWORK stardom. Will they revisit the zombie smashing road of the apocalypse once more?...

The answer is they very well might but Woody Harrelson isn't so sure. When speaking with Total FIlms he said in his slightly southern, Indiana accent,
"I don't feel like a sequels guy. On the first movie, I didn't even want to read the script... Then as it turns out, I read the script and I thought it was phenomenal, really funny...""Usually, if I theoretically reject it, I'm right, but this one I was dead wrong. And it might be the first movie I do a sequel to."
When we if the sequel is inevitable anyway, Harrelson remarked: "I'm sure it will happen if everyone does it, but I'm not sure it's the right thing to do."
"It's one thing to do it when it came out real good and it made a lot of people laugh, but then to do a sequel... 99 out of 100 are worse by a lot. So I don't know."
Thank you Woody Boyd (CHEERS reference kids) for putting it into terms that only you can. Woody we love you and to be honest you may very well be right on this. ZOMBIELAND was without a doubt an ass kicking good time but is a sequel needed? We aren't so sure.
Would it make money hand over fist? Sure, so we fully expect to see it happen but that window of when a sequel should take place is closing and with the other cast members, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin off doing other projects and with the success of Jesse Eisenberg one has to wonder if the land of zombies won't just be left alone, at least in the ZOMBIELAND world that is.
