Grab Some Popcorn, The HorrorBid Slasher Video Contest Entries Are Here - WATCH THEM NOW!
Well the end is finally here! With a little over a month to purchase the brand new HorrorBid Slasher mask (available here) contestants were asked to shoot a 5 minute or shorter video, post it up and let the world see their creations. HUSK director Brett Simmons is in the judges seat and will pick his top three, all taking home a bevy of cash and prizes donated by Rue-Morgue, K4FGloves.com, FRIGHT-RAGS and more. In a partnership with THE PROP SHOP, the team at HorrorBid has worked countless hours back and forth to make sure we helped craft the greatest new 'slasher' horror mask that the world has ever seen. From Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees and Leatherface, the mask of a slasher legend is the crux of what makes the horror genre fun for many of us. When HorrorBid was born nearly 4 years ago we created a logo with our own 'slasher' in mind. We gave him shape butwe asked you to give him life! Below are the results.

These vids are off the hook! great contest. They are all good but my favorites are "Charlie" because it's hilarious - "Fanatic" because of the last scene with the piano - "The Mask of James Henry" because it's the best story and a unique use of the mask - "Alex Crow" because another unique use of the mask and because it was freaking sweet!

FANATIC WAS BY FAR THEE BEST IN MY OPINION. EVERYTHING ABOUT THE CHARACTER WAS PERFECT AND WAS FILM VERY WELL.

The Mask of John Henry is incredibly slick. Great story and phenominal production. These folks have done this before. But my opinion is that "Someone is watching" is the best. The story was good, the production OK, but the horror strikes a nerve. You cannot help but finish watching and feel a little disturbed. The imagery almost takes you to the mental thoughts of the slasher.
