So as you may know, February is 'Women in Horror' month, so I couldn’t help but think that a top 10 count down of all the horror scream queens that gave us a reason to not stop watching other than blood was in order. So let me start this off by making a quick disclaimer, this are the top 10 Horror Scream Queens in my humble opinion, that being said, I would love to see who did you think I left out (I know, Danielle Harris), who would you leave out, who would you crown, and all that good stuff...

When the guys asked me if I'd like to work on a Dario Argento piece I jumped at it. I was only 20 years old when I was able to get a hold of a Dario Argento flick. What a year for Horror! 2009 is about to close but before that happens we thought we'd tally up the '09 Horror Movie Box Office leaders. No more this movie is better than that movie crap. Just in the nick of time comes HorrorBid's top 10 most significant horror flicks of the decade! Unlike everybody's best of '09 and decade lists we wanted to be different. Instead of defending why we think certain movies of the past 10 years are better than others we decided to concentrate on films that have had the biggest horror impact instead. This means there could be movies in this list that we don't particularly like but that's not the point.

Entertainment Weekly released their Top 20 Horror Films of the Last 20 Years today and while I am shocked with some of the choices it's good to see a mainstream rag show attention to the genre we all love. With any list there's always going to be hit and misses and while I back some of their choices 100% I am flat out appalled at others....
It goes without saying that watching horror movies is a deeply personal experience, more so than any other genre. Which means that our choices will probably not be yours. But that's why we have a comment section. Let us know if you think we're just plain out of our gourd or if you agree with our list.
