This is a great thread...definitely helps. I think a lot of what my problem is lies with my camera. It's a cheap digital, but it just has problems with light. I have tried various setups, and nothing ever works. I think I just need a new camera first...

This time though, I will try to get a bit higher quality. Something that doesn't need a fully lit room to work. :lol:

thanks for the tips next time i take a photo of something i'll use the black sheet for a background, that looks pretty good

Hey this is great Matthew. I didn't even think of the 3 tier lighting rig. That's the one thing I struggle with on my pics. I'm going to pick one up right away :ME LIKES:
