Which Director will Reboot Batman Franchise?

New postby Shakelford, J. Rusty » Tue Apr 17, 2012 9:20 pm

"The Dark Knight Rises" is the last installment in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. While it's possible that the helmer may return for more installments in a producing capacity, but will likely not return to direct.

But Warner Bros is not about to give up a franchise that has grossed billions of dollars. The studio will likely reboot it and bring on an entirely new director. Forbes magazine put together a list of potential helmers who could replace Nolan. Check out the list below and let us know who you would like to see take over the Batman franchise.

* Ben Affleck (The Town, Gone Baby Gone)

* Duncan Jones (Source Code, Moon)

* Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive)

* Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes, Snatch)

* David Yates (last four "Harry Potter" films)

* Neill Blomkamp (District 9)

* Matthew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class, Kick-Ass)

* Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes)

* Zack Snyder (Man of Steel, Watchmen, 300)

* Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, The Wrestler)

Aronofsky... that would be amazing. I'm not quite sure what it would be like, but it would have you asking more questions about the bat than ever before. David yates can as we have all seen pull together a high profile project but i would still enjoy Aronofsky more.
