Check This Out: Moviefone Article on John Carpenter's The Thing

New postby dew » Mon Jun 25, 2012 9:07 pm

It seems rare that a mainstream media outlet would address any horror film in great depth, and rarer still that they would take a look at any film not currently making headlines, so when I stumbled across this MovieFone piece on John Carpenter's The Thing (1982), it seemed worth sharing with the HB crowd.

Author Eric Larnick looks at how Carpenter's film as fared in the thirty years since its initial release, as well as the influences seen throughout the film, and its place in the modern horror canon. The short piece is a fair tribute to a film that has stood the test of time and holds a special place in the hearts of horror and scifi fans alike.
