More Sales Art For 'Chernobyl Diaries' Makes Its Way Stateside

New postby Brian Massey » Mon May 21, 2012 8:39 pm

Some brand new sales art for Chernobyl Diaries has made its way online today in the form of this really cool-looking quad poster which can be witnessed in person only in the UK. The film opens here in theaters this week, but if you take a peek at the poster you'll notice that genre fans across the pond have to wait almost a month later to experience the scares in cinemas.

Chernobyl Diaries is an original story from Oren Peli, who first terrified audiences with his groundbreaking thriller, Paranormal Activity. It's written by Peli, Carey Van Dyke, and Shane Van Dyke and directed by Brad Parker.

In the film, a group of six young tourists who are looking to go off the beaten path, hire an "extreme tour" guide. Ignoring warnings, he takes them into the city of Pripyat, the former home to the workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor, but a deserted town since the disaster more than 25 years ago. After a brief exploration of the abandoned city, however, the group soon finds themselves stranded, only to discover that they are not alone.
