'Carrie' Remake Release Date Set!

Piece by piece the remake of Stephen King's Carrie is slowly coming together. We already knew that the lead, originally made famous by Sissy Spacek, is going to be played by actress Chloe Mortez, and it was also revealed earlier that director Kimberly Peirce will be parked in the directors chair. And now we just learned that an official release date has been set for March 15, 2013.

The reboot is said to be set very close to the original text of King's book. The story follows the story of Carrie White, a high school student with telekinetic powers who uses her powers to take revenge of some students who bullied and tormented her.

So 2013 is slowly building up for some big name horror movies. First the Evil Dead remake and now this, makes me wonder what else is in store for all of us horror hounds.
