According to Variety Demian Bichir, who was nominated for his role in "A Better Life," is in negotiations to join Rodriguez's "Machete Kills." Details on Bichir's role in the film remain under wraps for now, though he'll play an Israeli operative in the Friedkin pic, according to sources.
Bichir will join cast-mates Mel Gibson and Michelle Rodriguez who recently took supporting roles opposite Danny Trejo, who returns once again as the films star.
Earlier it was announced that the film is the second in a planned trilogy that will find the machete-wielding Mexican heading to outer space in the final installment. (In case your wondering, we're not making this up)
Machete Kills is expected to be released later this year.
