The Plot Details For 'The Woman In Black' Sequel Have Been Revealed

New postby Brian Massey » Tue Jun 12, 2012 4:53 pm

It's no secret that Hammer Films is well known for bringing some of the greatest characters in the industry to the bog screen. Frankenstein, Dracula and The Mummy have all spawned various sequels under the Hammer logo, as well as creating a fortune at the box office, but it's 2012's The Woman in Black, that set the record for the company by earning $21m in the opening week. So it should come as no surprise that a sequel was in the works, and now we have the first details regarding the synopsis.

In The Woman in Black: Angels of Death, "Seized by the government and converted into a military mental hospital during World War II, the sudden arrival of disturbed soldiers to Eel Marsh Harsh has awoken its darkest inhabitant. Eve, a beautiful young nurse, is sent to the house to care for the patients but soon realizes she must save them from more than their own demons. Despite Eve’s efforts to stop her, one by one they fall victim to The Woman in Black.[/i]

Screenwriter Jon Croker (Desert Dancer) developed the screenplay for the sequel which is based on an original story by author Susan Hill. The project, which is now complete will be brought to the big screen by the same production team behind The Woman in Black.

Stay tuned for further announcements.
